Description

Join Seattle Parks and Recreation Environmental Education staff for a four-week series on birding basics in Discovery Park. We will learn about tools for identifying birds, how to record and keep observations, and the birds in different Seattle ecosystems. Start out by learning basic bird identification skills, equipment, and field record keeping. Each week thereafter, we will go
go birding in different areas of Discovery Park to learn about the different birds that inhabit backyard, forest, and beach ecosystems. No experience or equipment required, but it is recommended to bring comfortable walking shoes and rain gear, and you are welcome to bring binoculars if you have them. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
