Description:
Azalea Recreation Center invites kids 6-12 years old to participate in our Young Engineers Summer Camp. Campers will learn the engineering behind the machines we use every day and perform science experiments that kids can take home. During each day the campers will build exciting motorized LEGO bricks models, reflecting STEM theories learned together. Lunch and snack are provided. Encourage children to wear comfortable clothing and sneakers so they can participate in all activities. Space is limited to 8 participants. First come first served. Sign Up Now! If the participant has special needs and/or requires accommodations related to disability, please let us know and we will make arrangements.
CDC COVID-19 protocols will be in place for staff and campers safety. Campers temperature will be taken at the start of each camp day, and face mask will be required when social distancing cannot be achieved during camp. Each camper is required to bring their own marked water bottle & sun screen. All personal items will be placed in their own backpack. Scholarships are available for those who qualify with proof of income. You must come into recreation center in person to process registration for Scholarships in order to get reduced price.
