POLLIWOG: Water Exploration (Learn-to-Swim Level 1) for children 4 years and up

This introductory level is the first level in our Learn-to-Swim program. Instructors focus on building students comfort and independence in the water. Skills taught include: bubble blowing, retrieving submerged objects, front & back glides, front & back kicks and front & back floats. All skills are practiced with the support of a parent/guardian.

One adult living in the same household is required in the water with each child registered.

All adult/child pairs will be spaced at least 6 feet apart in the water and the instructor will lead the class from the pool deck. Children who do not have an adult in the water will not be able to participate in lesson.

Credit Card and E-Check Convenience Fee Update
On October 27, 2020, the Santa Monica City Council adopted a resolution to pass off credit card / debit card convenience fees from the credit card processor to the customer. These convenience fees were previously absorbed by the City, with ActiveNet convenience fees set at 2.95% of the amount of the transaction. This change took effect on January 1, 2021.
