Description

Parent and me 6 months to 4 years

This class is designed for parent-child interaction and focuses on acquainting a child with the water through play and songs. Emphasis is placed on teaching parent's techniques to stimulate development of their child's fundamental swimming skills such as blowing bubbles, front and back glides, front and back kick, arm movement and floating.

Note: Infants must wear a swim diaper under their suits.

Parking Information

Please remember that parking is limited. We encourage you to hop on the Big Blue Bus line 7 or 11, walk or catch a ride to the Swim Center.

Swim lesson participants may arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class begins.

No class meeting on Saturday, September 24th, 2022

CANCELLATION OR REFUNDS:
REFUNDS FOR COMMUNITY CLASSES, BEACH HOUSE CLASSES, COMMUNITY AQUATICS- A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity refunded. Request must be made in writing to the program supervisor in person or by fax (310) 450-5076, mail or email at aquatics@santamonica.gov Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting.

REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more registration sites including online) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee each activity refunded.

Stay home if you are sick. Unfortunately, absolutely no refunds will be given for any missed classes. Substitution of participants not allowed.
Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive and depart in swim attire and avoid using the changing room when possible.

Credit Card and E-Check Convenience Fee Update
On October 27, 2020, the Santa Monica City Council adopted a resolution to pass off credit card / debit card convenience fees from the credit card processor to the customer. These convenience fees were previously absorbed by the City, with ActiveNet convenience fees set at 2.95% of the amount of the transaction. This change took effect on January 1, 2021.
