The City of Santa Monica continues to place the highest value on the health and safety of our community. In compliance with LA County Public Health Guidelines, additional mandatory Safety Protocols and Procedures will be implemented in an effort to keep us all safe during this time.

This one day hit session consists of players who will train in small pods with SMBA hitting coaches! Players will train with their coaches for the first half and then those who want to participate in the Home Run Derby will join the contest with first, second and third place prizes! If players want to continue training on their game during this time, you do not have to enter the derby. Derby Classes for 8U, 10U & 13U players. Players have been training for this moment! Work on your hit game with our coaches and get better today for your game in 2021! This Pod based baseball instructional program is to get better hitting and get better at seeing pitches, increasing your velocity! Players will do skill work in hitting, increasing velocity, balance, swing and agility drills. Players will also work on sliding, base running, turning and speed!
SMBA professional coaches are subject to availability and at the discretion of SMBA for any and all camps and classes.
Participants must wear a mask, and bring a baseball glove and bat. Catchers must bring their own gear. $5 cash material fee payable to instructor on the first day of class. Baseball pants and socks are recommended, but not required. Players should wear a hat and sunscreen. Please bring your own snacks and drinks.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be made in writing to the program supervisor in person or by fax (310-899-0840), mail, or email (communityclasses@smgov.net). Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES will be made up at the end of the session. Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.
