Artist Trading Cards with Amy Bauer

Join the increasingly popular global Artist Trading Cards movement, and explore your creative side in a cheap and fun way. Think of them as baseball cards for artists?you can trade them, use them as greeting cards, or just keep them to commemorate a special memory. Make some cards and become part of this exciting worldwide community, and trade with your classmates at the end of class.

Amy Bauer is an artist, seamstress, educator, and curator. She holds degrees in Design, Fine Arts, and Educational Technology. She attended Arts for LA?s inaugural ACTIVATE Arts Advocacy Leadership program during 2014 and 2015. Her work has been displayed in magazines, newspapers, private and public collections, and websites. In her work, she explores environmental themes, and ties them into an investigation of the likenesses and frictions between her urban life and her folk art aesthetic. Much of her art is meant to deteriorate over time, placing it into the category of memento mori art. She has exhibited her work throughout the US, Canada, and England since 2001.

Parking and Transport: Parking is $1 for first 2.5 hours in Parking Structure 6 (2nd between Broadway and Santa Monica), each 30 min. thereafter $1.50, max $14. All-day parking $5 at the Civic Auditorium, 333 Civic Center Dr. Meters on Ocean Avenue; $2/hr maximum 2 hours, free after 6pm. More info: parkme.com/santa-monica-parking. Call 310-458-2239 to confirm availability, preferably by the Tuesday before class starts; plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class; many classes do not allow drop ins.

Refunds/Transfers: Full refunds are given if class is cancelled before taking place - enroll online with confidence. For student withdrawals for any other reason, $15 processing fee for each multisession activity refunded; one-time classes & expended material fees are nonrefundable.
