Explore the Lumi process by printing with photonegatives and sunlight! If you enjoyed the Cyanotype class taught by Miles Lewis, you?ll love Inkodye, which expands the palette to include nine gorgeous shades (they'll be bringing a choice of Red, Orange, Copper, Magenta, and Plum to this class.) Come away with a photoprinted tote bag using provided generic photo negatives. You can also have Lumi print your own artwork as a negative for you before the workshop on their website, app.lumi.co/editor (contact us for discount code and details.)
Short classes make parking a breeze! $1 for 2.5 hours at Structure 6, right around the corner.
Lumi strives to give everyone the tools to customize the world around them. Started with a Kickstarter campaign in 2009, Lumi launched the photosensitive fabric dye, Inkodye, allowing users to print photographs on any natural fiber. They have recently expanded to provide affordable custom silk screen kits, stamps, and vinyl decals to broaden the materials and surfaces that can be printed on. Shayna is the Community Manager at Lumi. She has a background in photography and is in charge of creating special projects and tutorials that explore the possibilities of Inkodye. inkodye.com
