Description: Designed for seniors living with Type 2 Diabetes. Students will learn the skills to better manage their diabetes. Topics include medication management, blood glucose monitoring, meal planning to control blood sugar, ways to manage stress, get active and prevent complications. This course presented in partnership with Alameda County Public Health and may only be taken once. This course will be held outside on the Center's back patio. All participants must be pre-registered through the City’s ActiveNet registration system. Drop in students will not be permitted. Participants must remained masked at all times at the Senior Community Center.
