Description: This class introduces your child to the Spanish language as they prepare for kindergarten through age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills, and fun. Your child will gain a basic understanding of Spanish words, shapes, colors, pre-phonics, literacy building (i.e. identifying letter sounds, writing the alphabet and simple words), number recognition, and counting up to 30 in both English and Spanish. The goal is to have fun, participate, and learn. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted, Children also must be able to wear a face mask for the duration of each class. All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class. Requirements for parent participation will vary by center.

Notes:

San José Recreation Preschool is a license exempt program. Children under 4

years 9 months can not be enrolled for over 12 hours of San José Recreation

Preschool per week. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. All

children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class.
