2021 Spring and Summer Season Registration Updates

Due to COVID-19 safety guidelines, the City of San Jose’s 2021 Spring season and 2021 Summer Season will implement the following registration restrictions for each participant.

  • Each participant may only register and attend ONE in-person activity at a time and timelines for activities may not overlap.
  • Each registration, for in-person activities or programs, must have a minimum of 3 weeks between each program enrollment.

*Safety guidelines and program restrictions may change at any time based on California State, Santa Clara County, or City of San Jose order and directives.

Description: 

Classes may be modified to follow State, County and City Safety Guidelines.

Students will be taught the basics of playing music on the piano/keyboard. Topics include: basic notes, rhythm and theory as well as finger exercises, chords and scales, all with the goal of being able to play basic keyboard accompaniment parts and fun songs. Keyboards will be provided for students in class. However, students will need a keyboard at home for practice. Recommended resources for purchasing or renting a keyboard will be provided at the first class. *There is an additional $10 fee for materials payable to the instructor in class.


  • This activity will be outdoors.
  • Participants can only be registered in one activity per session.
  • Participants must use restroom before class. Restroom may not be available for outdoor activities.
