Description: T'ai Chi Chih is a meditative and calming practice consisting of 19 slow, gentle movements and one pose which are designed to circulate and balance the vital energy of the body to optimize health and well-being: it can be done standing or seated. With regular practice, benefits vary, but may include improved balance, reduced stress, increased energy, heightened mind-body awareness, or better concentration. Designed for participants who have not previously learned all of the T'ai Chi Chih movements or are taking the class for the first time. Dress: Wear comfortable clothing and flat, soft-soled shoes or heavy socks.
