Description
Scouts will learn the origins of the domestication of dogs, describe the characteristics of dog groups/categories, and identify breeds. Scouts will be able to explain the importance of house and obedience training, and proper socialization.

Notes
This workshop is open to all youth and scouts and will cover all of the requirements necessary to earn the Dog Care merit badge. While it is strongly encouraged for Scouts to attend classes in person, Zoom classes are available for those who live a long distance from the program location. The in-person program is held in the Conference Room in Park Central (3000 Central Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008).
