Description
The City of Rio Rancho Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department invites you to participate in its Memorial Tree Program. Trees are one of nature's best gifts to humankind and the planting of trees has always symbolized peace, life, growth and hope for the future. The gift of a Memorial Tree is a unique way to celebrate and honor or memorialize a special individual, while adding a long-lasting aesthetic and environmental benefit to the entire community.
One Time, $450 Fee Includes:
• Memorial ceremony
• Certificate of planting
• Installation of tree and plaque
• Tree will be 2" caliper and 6' to 8' tall
How the Program Works
After you fill out and submit this application, contact 505-891-5015 to coordinate details surrounding your tree planting and Memorial Ceremony.
Your tree(s) will be planted in a public park or other public area in the spring or fall of each year. A custom plaque will be permanently placed next to the dedicated tree. A Certificate of Planting will be presented to you at the Memorial Tree Ceremony.
