4th of July Parade

This year will be the City of Rio Rancho's evening parade for the 4th of July. Participants are to decorate their floats to reflect a patriotic theme in addition to being well lit through the adornment of holiday lights (red, white & blue). The use of LED low-energy lights is recommended. All floats will be judged on how creative and theme oriented the floats are decorated. Awards will be given for Best Decorated, Most Patriotic, Most Original and Overall Winner. Parade registration can be done online by visiting www.rrnm.gov/activenet, in person at City Hall, or by calling the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department at 505-891-5015. It is free to take part in the parade and the deadline to register is June 27. Registration to participate in the parade is FREE.

The parade route will begin and end in the upper Northwest lot of the Rio Rancho Events Center. All participants must be registered. Line-up for the parade begins at 4:00 pm and all participants need to be in place, no later than 5:00 pm. Judging of floats will be from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm. Parade begins at 6:00 pm. Each group will line-up by position determined by parade officials.
