Description
Rumba derives from Africa and is the dance of love and passion. This expressive and sensual dance emphasizes the emotional and physical connection between the dancers. The dance developed in the new world in the late 19th century and was a favorite in the working neighborhoods of Havana Cuba. Rumba is a spot dance and tends to be danced in a small area on the dance floor. We begin by learning and practicing basic patterns and build on your new dance skills to learn how to blend them together so that you will be able dance and enjoy the music. Cuban motion is a distinctive feature of the rumba dance. In this class you will learn Cuban motion and many other fun patterns. This class is for Newcomers to Rumba.

- Participants must be registered three (3) days before the start of class.
