Description: We teach chess to beginner through tournament level students while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. Our year-round curriculum includes lessons for brand new beginners as well as more advanced players. All students are taught on their level and classes are structured with a combination of lessons and practice time. I am a USCF certified tournament director.
Biography:
Chess is our passion. We teach and improve tournament level chess skills to beginners and intermediate level players while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. Our year-round curriculum includes lessons for brand new beginners as well as more advanced players. All students are taught on their level. We structure our classes with a combination of individual and group lessons and practice time. I am a USCF certified tournament director. I taught math for 19 years and chess for 16 of those years. We are now in our 8th year teaching chess at DFW area recreation centers. Chess is designed to be both entertaining and educational. Students learn to focus, evaluate options, and determine the best sequence for moves. We have open enrollment. Join at any time.
