Co-Ed Youth Basketball:D-4(Ages 8-9)

Our youth basketball program is more than just a recreational league - it's an opportunity for children to learn and grow in a safe and organized environment. We believe in promoting the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, fairness, and equality while encouraging young players to express themselves and reach their full potential.

To ensure equitable distribution, teams are randomly assigned based on skill set, and no special requests will be accepted. However, families with same age group siblings please make sure you note this information during time of registration for both players.

We require all players to provide a birth certificate upon registration, which can be scanned and emailed to Recreation@rialtoca.gov. The season runs from September 30, 2023, to December 16, 2023, with all games taking place on Saturdays at the Carl Johnson Center Gym located at 214 N. Palm Ave Rialto, CA. Regular season games are scheduled between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm. This group will be playing on a full court with all regulation basketball rules.

The Division 4 parent meeting will be held on August 28, 2023, at 6:30 pm at the Carl Johnson Center Gym 214 N. Palm Ave. Rialto, CA 92376. Players must attend the skills assessment on August 31, 2023, at 6:00 pm to determine their team placement. Athletic attire and tennis shoes are required for the assessment.

Practices are typically held twice a week in the evenings between 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, starting the week of September 18, 2023, at the Carl Johnson Center Gym, local parks, or middle schools. Refund requests must be submitted before September 22, 2023, at 6:00 pm, either by email or in person at the Community Center front desk. Players placed on the waitlist will be contacted if any registered players withdraw from the program..

The registration fee includes a basketball jersey and participation, with jerseys distributed on the day of the first game. Players are required to wear their assigned jersey for every game, and replacements cost $20.
