Motion Quilting Workshop

Learn the basics of quilting your own donation projects on your home (domestic) sewing machine. Spend a day practicing and building your free motion quilting skills, experimenting with various designs and methods. Thursday, February 15, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Redlands Community Senior Center.

Students should bring the following:

Sewing machine in good working order, with extension table if available

Sewing machine accessories:

• Walking foot
• Free motion/darning foot
• Special foot for use with rulers, if available
• Rulers for quilting, if available
• Thread, both light and dark
• Extra machine needles
• Scissors, cutting supplies, basting supplies
• Small fabric/batting/fabric "sandwiches" for practice -- 15"x18" squares, or use fat quarters or panels
• Current small quilting project, if desired
• Stencils
• Blue wash-out marker
• Large paper tablet, pens/pencils
