Description
This course is designed for experienced swimmers who want to become Red Cross Lifeguards. This is a blended learning course with 7 hours of online instruction and 20 hours of in-class instruction. The online instruction must be completed prior to Saturday, April 27. Advanced skills are taught and information about lifesaving techniques will be presented. Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are awarded upon successful completion of the course.
Course prerequisites are: 300 yard swim using front crawl and breaststroke, retrieval of a 10 pound brick from 7ft of water and two minutes of treading water with no hands.
Bring towel, goggles, swim trunks, dry clothes, sack lunch, and water bottle.
