Description

Ladybug Nature Walks are a way for young children (ages 2-6 with an adult) to explore nature.

During a walk, each child borrows a backpack full of simple tools for exploring. Nature educators guide children in small groups through a series of "Nature Play" activities. Children explore plants, animals, rocks, and soil in a social setting. We provide supplies and structure, but each child is encouraged to be creative in their play and exploration.

Adults enjoy discovering new parks and connecting with other caregivers. Adults will also learn simple ways to incorporate "Nature Play" into everyday life.

Walks happen rain or shine! Dress for the weather. Activities are geared towards children ages 2-6. Younger children are welcome, though they may only want to watch or explore at a different pace.
