African American LGBTQ+ Mental Health
Course Description:
This course is designed to discuss the barriers and benefits of mental health care in marginalized communities, specifically LGBTQ+ and African American Communities. We will look at the two populations separately and then how the two intersect. This course will include some interactivity utilizing videos and group response questions.
Course Objectives:
- Identify barriers to mental health treatment in the LGBTQ+ community and African American community.
- Build upon cultural competency with LGBTQ+ and African American community
