Evidence-Based Interventions for Challenging Behaviors
Course Description:
Throughout this course, participants will deepen their knowledge of prevention and evidence-based interventions for challenging behaviors. Participants will determine which interventions promote positive behaviors, apply developmentally appropriate behavioral expectations and positive reinforcement for desirable behaviors, and apply previous knowledge of the hypothesis statement and function of the behavior to evidence-based interventions. Finally, participants will engage in group discussion, interactive chats, and polls.
Course Objectives:
- Implement evidence-based interventions with fidelity and determine which interventions have the most substantial impact on positive behaviors.
- Apply developmentally appropriate behavioral expectations and positive reinforcement for positive behaviors.
- Use previous knowledge of the function of the behavior and hypothesis statement to identify the most applicable behavior interventions.
