
T-Ball for Boys and Girls

Description
REGISTRATION: May 1st-May 31st online at www.piercecountywa.org/parks or in person at the Lakewood Community Center or Sprinker Recreation Center until May 31st or until space is full.
LEAGUE PURPOSE: To provide each participant with an enjoyable, safe and positive experience while learning respect, sportsmanship and the basics of baseball/softball. There are no try-outs; everyone plays regardless of ability. This is strictly a recreational program. There are no league championships and no win-loss records will be kept. Boys and girls will play on the same team.
PRACTICES: Each team will have 3 practices before they play their first game. Practices will be scheduled between June 17th-June 27th, during the week in the evenings. Practices will be held at Spanaway Park for T-Ball.
GAMES: All games will be played on the fields at Spanaway Park. Each team will play six or seven games, weather permitting. Two games will be scheduled each week (Monday-Thursday) beginning the week of July 1st. The program will end no later than July 31st. All games will begin after 5:00pm.
EQUIPMENT: Pierce County Parks and Recreation will supply bats, balls, hitting tees and bases for each practice and games. Each participant should supply their own glove and shoes (athletic shoes or rubber cleats are acceptable-not metal cleats)
COACHES: Parents that are interested in coaching may obtain coaching paperwork online on our website at www.piercecountywa.org/parks.
MANDATORY COACHES MEETING: Tuesday June 11th at the Lakewood Community Center, 5:30pm-6:30pm.
