Description
Kick off our Summer at South Mountain Lecture Series by joining us at the South Mountain Visitor Center for a presentation by Park Rangers & Stewards on Desert Awareness and Safe, Responsible Recreation practices targeted towards the whole family!
Kick off the summer by learning how to have a successful and memorable experience while out hiking in the desert. Topics we will discuss include weather, wildlife, what to bring and so much more! We will then seek to answer any and all questions you may have to best prepare you for the summer in the Sonoran Desert.
The Summer at South Mountain Lecture Series is intended to offer the public safe opportunities to beat the heat while still getting out to your Phoenix Parks and Preserves this summer.
The event will take place at the South Mountain Visitor Center Conference Room (10409 S. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042)
This is an ALL AGES event, all participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
