Description
Join us for a Ranger-led presentation and hike at South Mountain Park. Participants will take part in an interpretive talk at the South Mountain Visitor’s Center all about the Saguaro. We will learn all about these iconic symbols of the southwest landscape and their role as a keystone species in the Sonoran Desert ecosystem. We will then embark on a short hike to look for some of these amazing creatures and signs of their presence.
Fitness Level: Easy
We will meet at The South Mountain Visitors Center (10409 S. Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042) and begin the presentation by 9:00 am, please arrive a few minutes early to check-in and fill out an activity waiver.
*Parking is limited, please park in the Activity Complex Parking area.

All participants must register. This is an age 7 and up program. Any participant under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a registered adult. Parent/guardian must remain with their child for the entirety of the program.
It is recommended to bring water, sunscreen, a hat and sturdy, closed-toed shoes.
No Pets, Please.
This hike will take place on our paved, ADA accessible Judith Tunnel Trail and is suitable for families with strollers and patrons in wheelchairs.
Program subject to cancellation, an email notice will be sent out in the event of a cancellation.
