Swing for the fences with PenMet Recreational Baseball!
Coach-pitch is a technique where players under nine years old bat a baseball that is safely pitched to them by their own coach. Designed for children of all skills and abilities with an emphasis on teaching baseball techniques, principles, team play, and sportsmanship. At the Coach Pitch level, a safety ball will be used since this will be the first time children will be pitched to versus hitting from a tee. As with Tee Ball, the primary objective at this level is to ensure that each player has a positive experience with baseball and desires to play again the following year.
Season includes 8 games, weekly practice, and a PenMet shirt. Practices begin the week of April 5th, and games begin Saturday, April 10th. Coaches will provide practice dates and game schedule during the first week of April. Teams can expect 1 hour of practice each week and one game on Saturdays.
NOTE: Games will only occur if our region is in Phase 2 of the Healthy Washington Roadmap to Recovery Plan.
