Description: The first program of it's kind, Collins Aerospace provides Piccolo Autopilot Training in a group setting, hosted by Pendleton UAS Range. Piccolo autopilot/GCS is utilized in over 150 UAS, ranging from Group 1 to Group 4. Throughout a four-day group training, each student will complete the Piccolo certification process, finishing with a robust foundation and technology aptitude with 80% to flying a specific airframe. Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) is the fastest growing segment of aviation, and the commercial markets are just beginning to develop, meaning the existing pool of Piccolo trained operators cannot come close to satisfying industry demand. This training is not platform-specific, however, in a highly competitive hiring environment, a job applicant possessing training on the worlds most prolific autopilot system will stand out and be very appealing to hiring managers.
