Description
This camp teaches the skills and tactics of indoor lacrosse. Improve your skills with Box Lacrosse instruction led by Patrick Chapla, director of POWLAX and his staff. Instruction is focused on teaching players how to effectively elude the opponent in tight spaces. Players will work on their dodging skills, proper footwork and body movements that will enable success on both sides of the ball!
Level of Instruction: For players seeking a more advanced training environment and player development.
Skills/Fundamentals Learned: These coed sessions are designed to help the player:
- Maneuver and play in tight spaces
- Play physical defense
- Use deception when shooting
- Improve small sided game skills
Contractor/Instructor: Camp staff is led by Patrick Chapla, Pack of Wolves Lacrosse (POWLAX) founder. He is the former head coach at Grandview High School and current Cherokee Trail Offensive Coordinator, combining for 12 years of high school and youth coaching experience. His team of coaches includes accomplished, former high school and college lacrosse players.
Equipment: Players must provide helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, short stick, gloves, mouthpiece and cup (rib and bicep pads are encouraged).
