Description: 

Students in this level display and execute proper technique and placement while continuing to expand their repertoire. During ballet, students are individually assessed for pointe shoe approval. Students are technically advanced enough to enjoy focusing on the breath and quality of movement as they already have an understanding of the technique. Black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers are required for ballet. Jazz clothing may be layered for the jazz portion of class. Hair should be pulled away from the face. Please arrive on time to class. Classes are designed to warm the body gradually to enable them to execute progressively bigger and more difficult moves as well as to prevent injury. This class performs on stage in the end of semester recital at PACE.

Students interested in expanding their abilities and talents are encouraged to simultaneously enroll in other Technique Level classes, Lyrical and Contemporary Jazz, and En Pointe (if eligible). Technique classes are designed to compliment and supplement each other. Dancers who wish to dance multiple days a week are encouraged to email onpointeschooldance@gmail.com prior to registering to make sure they are enrolled in the appropriate levels.

Our dancers have the unique experience of performing on the PACE Center stage in our end of semester recital. A $70 costume purchase fee is made payable to On Pointe the first week of class. Classes run monthly starting February 1 and end May 24. There are no classes on Spring Break, March 15-19.
