Description
The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed to train healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians, EMS professionals, and other healthcare and public safety personnel to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. This certification is required in most healthcare facilities, and is strongly recommended for any students in the nursing, medicine, dental, or other healthcare related schools. This course is offered in a blended learning format with an online portion that takes approximately 2.5 hours followed by an in person training session that takes 2.5 hours.Online portion must be completed in its entirety prior to the in person class.*This course DOES cover CPR requirements for Lifeguards in New York State.
