Winkler Preserve: Communications Merit Badge 4/06/25

Communication comes in many forms and is essential to our daily lives.

Through discussion and presentations, we’ll learn more about Communication styles and our fellow scouts.

This is a pre-requisite heavy merit badge. Please be prepared to give the required presentations.

This is an Eagle Required Merit Badge.

Same day completion is dependent on prerequisites being completed prior to class.

Prerequisites:

Requirement 3: Have your speech ready to give to the group

Requirement 4: Interview someone you know fairly well, have an introduction of that person ready for the group

Requirement 5: Attend a public meeting (city council, school board, candidate debate, etc

Requirement 7: Choose a, b, or c and bring it in

Requirement 8: Bring proof of serving as master of ceremonies for a court of honor, campfire program or interfaith service

Please bring a signed blue card.

Participants are required to read and accept the Assumption of Risk and Indemnification Agreement during the registration process.
