Description: This beginner class focuses on 3D computer modeling and animation using the free software Anim8or to create 3D models that can move and perform actions. In “Animating Text” students will build a 3D model of the letters of their name and create an animation with changing colors and moving letters. Books will be emailed to students (PDF format) - there will be no book fee. Students should print out the books (or at least the current lesson) if possible. If needed, physical copies can be mailed for $8 to cover production and mailing costs. Students MUST provide valid and current email addresses (any email addresses in the ActiveNet system need to be confirmed/updated). Zoom meeting info will be emailed to registered participants. Note: WINDOWS Computers only (the software does NOT work on Apple, Mac, or Android) – software will need to be downloaded BEFORE the first class (download link will be emailed after students' signup). It is recommended that students have an additional device to access Zoom with.
