(ICE SKATING) Basic 1

Beginners with no previous instruction or experience are introduced to basic skills including falling, standing, marching, dips, basic gliding, forward swizzles, rocking horse swizzle, and backward wiggles. On-ice and off-ice instruction builds confidence.

Basic 1 Skills:

A. Sit on ice and stand up

B. March forward across the ice

C. Forward two-foot glide

D. Intro to one-foot glides

E. Dip

F. Forward swizzles

G. Intro to backward swizzles

H. Backward wiggles

I. Intro to snowplow stops
