Once a rare sight in Illinois, bald eagles now make our state one of their favorite winter hangouts. Only Alaska draws more of these birds. They seek fish found in the cold Illinois River. Eagle sightings are not guaranteed in warmer winter weather. Tips for eagle watching are bring binoculars and a camera, dress warmly and refrain from loud noises. There is minimal walking and restrooms are available throughout the tour. Today's trip starts with Sunday Brunch at the Starved Rock Lodge. Menu includes various breakfast items including an omelet and waffle station, lunch items such as fried chicken, pasta, fish, potatoes, fresh vegetables, various salads, fruit, rolls, a carving station and an array of assorted desserts. Price includes transportation, Sunday Brunch, trolley ride, tour guide and the eagle presentation at the Illinois Waterway Visitors Center. (lmo)

1. Please arrive 15 MINUTES PRIOR to departure.
2. DIRECTIONS TO THE WARMING HOUSE PARKING LOT: Take Jackson Ave. west, go past Mill St., Ewing St. and West St. and proceed to the brown sign up on the pole on the left side of the street that says To Riverwalk. Take a left into the parking lot. Go to the stop sign at the end and take a right. You will pass a playground and then you will see the Warming House (small brown building) on your left. This building houses restrooms for use before departure. This is where the bus idles for loading of passengers.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY: Requests for Day Trip transfers or refunds, including refunds for medical reasons, will not be approved unless your spot on the trip can be filled with another participant from the wait list.
