Description

Computers, tablets and phones, oh my! With new technology evolving daily, learning how to use it for everyday applications may be intimidating. Neuqua Valley High School Interact Community Service Club is offering beginner and advanced computer training for active adults and seniors to help overcome fears and answer technology questions. The program is instructed by informed and helpful NVHS student volunteers who work with you at your own pace. Each class starts with a very brief lesson on various topics, including browsing the internet, using Google services (i.e. Google Docs, Google Presentations, Gmail and Google Maps) and using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You are encouraged to bring your own technology - laptop, tablet, camera and/or phone - so the students may help you with your device. Instruction is offered for additional lessons of your choice that helps guide future instruction. Learn the latest technology and how to maximize its benefits for you. This free program meets in the D210 computer lab at Neuqua Valley High School. On the first day, a student escort meets you in front of the academics entrance which is the center building on the horseshoe drive off of Sklyane Dr., south of 95th St. (lmo)
