Description: Once you register for this you can attend any or all of the classes. Join Arts for the Aging Teaching Artists in a celebration of Black History Month in this four - week workshop series. Explore the influence of African rhythms on North and South American dances like Tango and Go - Go Dancing. Discover prominent and local African American visual arts connected with the Color Field Painters. Listen and sing along to popular jazz and blues music.. Discuss the writings of prominent African American poets and create a collaborative poem inspired by their work. These live virtual workshops engage and inspire older adults and caregivers.
