Description: Join a Naturalist to explore green spaces in Minneapolis along our many bike trails! This program will provide the opportunity to develop overall bicycling skills, explore the local trail systems, hands-on learning experiences, and education on how to explore the green spaces in Minneapolis. Our bike-based programs promote skill development, exploration, physical wellness, personal responsibility, and confidence with biking in the city. Our trained staff will include activities such as nature exploration, developing safe riding habits, and learning about biking as a form of travel. Participants can bring their own equipment or bicycles and helmets are available to borrow from MPRB.

Notes:
*This program is not teaching how to ride a bike but how to improve riding skills and confidence to ride to destinations. Participants must already be riding a pedal bike without training wheels. Bikes with gears and brakes are preferred but not required. During in-person outdoor programs participants must agree to:•Adhere to the current Minnesota state face covering mandate. (Face covering exceptions may apply to certain MPRB activities)•Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet from staff and individuals from other households at all times•Complete self-assessment of health prior to attending•Participants with any signs of illness are to stay homeFailure to comply will result in removal from the program.
