The Basics of Drawing
ClassesWINTER/SPRING 2017|#1000.301
Description
Creating images begins with the capacity to observe what is right in front of you. The standard basic teaching tools in any academic drawing class are an ebony pencil, a kneaded eraser and a nice big page to sketch on. It is truly surprising how many endless hours of discovery can start with taking a class like this. Get inspired, take in pointers from a seasoned artist and learn from other students like yourself. Get your hand warmed up for a lifestyle of visual exploration. You will create line variations, spatial depth, volume, composition, texture, light and shadow while a using range of subjects like flowers, fruit and nostalgic objects. Add supply cost. 5 meetings. TEACHING ARTIST: Jeremy Anacker, experienced instructor with a BFA from UW-Madison and private art school training.
