Description

If you have taken the previous sewing class or have experience sewing and would like something new this is a great class for you. Students in this class will make a fully lined tote bag out of scraps of fabric. Not one will be the same but all will be unique and beautiful. Emphasis will be given to using hand sewing techniques and hand sewing details.

Materials List:
  • Needle and Thread
  • Fabric scraps
  • Cotton canvas or cotton twill (any color, can be printed too). Size: 1yd x 1yd
  • Cotton webbing trim (any color) Size: 1” width, 2yds length
  • For the lining cotton muslin (any color or pattern) Size: 1yd x 1yd"

Patrizia brings to Wheelhouse a plethora of knowledge and experience in the textile and design field. With a BA in Textile Design from the Institute of Industrial Design of Montevideo, Uruguay and an MS in Textile Design for Prints from Philadelphia University, she offers us both institutional knowledge, and also extensive personal experience in this arena. She has been involved in all things design, including wall-covering, fashion, and lighting. Patrizia loves teaching what she is so passionate about to others.
