Description
Explore Monoprinting, a technique within printmaking that yields unique impressions, unlike processes which produce multiples. Monotypes allow for beautiful textural qualities and painterly mark-making. Students will learn additive and subtractive methods, blend rolls, and stenciling, with the opportunity to create small varied editions of monoprints, or unique monotypes. Course fee includes all supplies except what you would ultimately like to print on.

Carley Schmidt is a printmaker currently seeking their MFA at UW Madison.
