Description

Linocut is a relief printmaking method that involves carving into a piece of linoleum to create an image that you can print again and again. The accessibility of this cheap and simple artmaking process has made it one of the most popular printmaking mediums. Join instructor Lydia Zoells to learn about the medium, design and carve a block, and print a small edition, or series, of original images. The course will conclude with a print trade among the artists in the class. Interested students may choose to continue their study of relief printmaking in Lydia’s upcoming course, Woodcut Print Workshop offered on July 9th and July 16th.

Course fee includes one linoleum block, lino cutter tool, and access to shared studio supplies. Some additional supplies available for purchase at Wheelhouse Studios.
