Intro to Handbuilding Ceramics

Learn the basics of handbuilding in clay, including techniques such as coiling, pinching, and slab work. There will be demonstrations on surface design and texture along with a full explanation of glaze processes. Students will create both functional and conceptual ceramic pieces using a variety of handbuilding techniques.

Course fee includes 12.5 lbs. of clay, a basic tool kit, and free use of the studios during class as well as two weeks after the class ends. Additional clay and tool sets are available for purchase at Wheelhouse Studios.
