Description

Play in the magical world of indigo dye and take textile dyeing to the next level. Learn the ancient resist dyeing technique dating from the 8th century by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, and compressing cloth to create intricate patterns in fabric. No dye experience is needed. Classes will focuses on learning Shibori folding techniques and how to prepare your dye bath and the dyeing process.

Patrizia brings to Wheelhouse a plethora of knowledge and experience in the textile and design field. With a BA in Textile Design from the Institute of Industrial Design of Montevideo, Uruguay and an MS in Textile Design for Prints from Philadelphia University, she offers us both institutional knowledge, and also extensive personal experience in this arena. She has been involved in all things design, including wallcovering, fashion, and lighting. Patrizia loves teaching what she is so passionate about to others. Don?t miss out on the chance to learn from a true expert in everything textiles!


Bring a minimum of 2 yards of 100% cotton fabric any type and whatever other items like garments, tablecloth, napkins etc. that you want to bring to print on.
