Junior Company students are required to take the Junior Company Rehearsal, Intermediate 8-12Y Ballet (2 days/week), and Jazz classes. All required classes are held at Tacoma School of the Arts. Many of these students opt to enroll in tap or hip-hop in addition to the required classes. Junior Company students are required to either take the One Week Summer Dance Intensive or weekly classes during the summer as part of their company commitment. During the Dance Intensive Camp instructors will gauge students over the course of a week and also take a practice audition during the camp, or to audition during the last week of August in a more traditional audition setting. Teacher recommendation is valued highly when considering placement for these students within the company. Audition is required.
