FROM THE WORLD SERIES TO THE STATE OF WONDERS
Standard ActivityWinter 2018/2019|#16348
Description
Brian Peterson lives in two worlds, that of a Minneapolis Star Tribune photojournalist, and that of a nature photographer. Join us as he shares stories and dramatic photos from his books, articles and travels.
Born in Duluth, MN, Brian has photographed the Winter & Summer Olympic Games as well as issues related to climate change, extreme weather and urban sprawl. He has been honored nine times as the Minnesota Press Photographer of the Year and recognized nationally and internationally for his documentary photojournalism, including a Robert F. Kennedy Award and three Emmys.
Brian finds tremendous comfort in his time spent with our natural world. His work takes a close look at nature, reminding us of its delicate balance, and the beauty around us. He is the author of two books, 'Minnesota State of Wonders' (www.stateofwonders.com) and 'Voices for the Land', and the winner of three Minnesota Book Awards.
