Description
"This robust program combines safety awareness education with martial arts/karate/self-defense instruction. Students will learn self defense skills through a full range of techniques necessary for ranking purposes from White Belt to Black Belt. Classes meet weekly as instructors demonstrate each new technique breaking them into steps with verbal cues.
Uniform fee of $35 to be paid directly to the instructor at the first session. This fee is not included in the online registration fee.

The instructor for this class is Alexander Santa
Participants must maintain six feet physical distancing, wear face masks, and participate in a temperature check before each in-person class.
Participants should not attend if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, chills, muscle pain, headache, vomiting and diarrhea.
No parents/guardians or guests will be allowed in the programming space to reduce contact with others.
Refunds: Participants should contact LA County Parks facility staff office to request their refund and sign the necessary refund request forms. For faster processing, consider saving your credit card information to your Active Net account.
For weekly classes, a full refund will be given when notice is received at least five working days prior to the first scheduled class. Requests received by the Department at least two days after the first scheduled class will be refunded for the remaining classes. No refunds will be issued more than 2 days after the first scheduled class.
For 1- to 3-day workshops, a full refund will be given when notice is received by at least five working days prior to the start date of the workshop. No refunds will be issued after this time.
