For the 5th annual Girls Empowerment Conference, the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation presents a free virtual month-long event. Girls (ages 11-18) can join from across Los Angeles County - and beyond! - to feel connected, inspired, and empowered.
From October 1-31, LA County Parks will host virtual workshops, panels, and keynote speakers plus links to resources and activities to keep girls engaged all month long. Girls are invited to join and participate in all events. Each week, you will receive an email with links and information about the events.
Monday - Documentaries & Book Clubs
Tuesday - Live virtual workshops
Wednesday - Videos related to the week's theme
Thursday - Live virtual panels of powerful speakers
Friday - "Let's Talk" videos and inspirational materials
Saturday - Live virtual keynote speakers

The first event features a virtual speaker panel of “Women in Leadership in Los Angeles County” including LA County Parks Director Norma Edith García-González, on Thursday, October 1, at 4:30pm. The link to join this event will be emailed separately soon.
