Description: 

Dancers will learn lyrical & jazz choreography from some of the greatest
Broadway shows in musical theater history. If you love watching the dancing in famous musicals this class is for you. Class curriculum is based on ballet/lyrical technique layered with Broadway style jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, and combinations. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills and telling a story through dance. A great place for advanced dancers to brush up on technique and combination retention while having a great time in a relaxed and positive atmosphere! Attire: leotards any style and color, convertible tights any color, pink leather ballet shoes - NO DRAWSTRINGS/TIES. This class participates in two routines in the Recital. It is suggested that this class is taken in addition to your Ensemble/Performance Ensemble

Family Watch Weeks- During these special weeks, family and friends are invited inside the studios! Dancers will have the opportunity to perform and showcase their progress.

May 2nd - 6th -Every dancer receives a Years of Dance Trophy.
Note: May 9th -12th Last Week of Lessons – NOT a Watch Week.

To help reduce fees, cash or check (payable to LPRD) is preferred. Credit cards are accepted, and a 5-month automatic payment plan is available through the Parks and Recreation office with a credit or debit card.

Last day to withdraw from classes and receive a prorated refund for the remaining classes of the year minus a $25 withdrawal fee is Friday October 28, 2021. If you do not officially withdraw from classes with Parks and Recreation by this date, you will be charged in full for your class and costume fees.
