Session 2: Parent and Child 8am - The Cove

Parent and Child Swimm lessons consists of introducing children to the water. Parents must be in the water with children and swim diapers are required for participants. Our instructors follow a plan to introduce new swimming and water safety skills that are developmentally appropriate for young children. Each class is loaded with enjoyable, engaging and challenging activities that motivate children to want to perform and learn to be comfortable in the water.

In Parent and Child classes, children will:

Understand basic water safety rules

Learn to roll from front to back and back to front

Become comfortable in the water

Learn to front and back glide with support

Where to you go from here?

After successfully completing the skills in Parent and child classes, children are ready to move to Preschool 1. It is not important how quickly they move through a level, but that they acquire each skill.
