Dates: Oct. 16-19.

Pretest & Intro: Oct. 16, 8am-4:30pm (With lunch and snack breaks)

Class Oct. 17, 8am-4:30pm (With lunch and snack breaks)

Oct. 18, 8am-4:30pm (With lunch and snack breaks)

Oct. 19, 8am-4:30pm (With lunch and snack breaks)

Lifeguarding course offered in Lincoln City

An American Red Cross Lifeguard course will take place at the Lincoln City Community Center. The class dates are Oct. 16-19

Participants must be at least 15 years of age and able pass a pre-swim test. The test includes a 200-meter swim with 2 minutes of treading without using arms, and then diving to the bottom of the deep end to retrieve a brick, and returning it to the start without goggles.

Successful completion of the course will lead to a 2 year Red Cross certification and possible employment opportunities as a lifeguard.

Fees are non-refundable after the start of class.
